2009/2010- Franchising (Outside Indonesia)
Merdeka Coffee has a commitment to Indonesian Coffee that is unparalleled. We call ourselves the “Indonesian Coffee Specialists” because we have a deep understanding of specialty coffee from the islands of Indonesia and we truly believe in the coffee from our corner of the world.

Our collective experience in restaurant operations here, in New Zealand, Australia and the USA helps us understand what our clients want and how to deliver the very best to them. In 2009/2010 we will be working towards franchising the Merdeka Coffee concept.

We opened our first overseas operation (a roastery to supply wholesale-retail coffee) in Parnell, Auckland , New Zealand June 2009. We are also confimed with a frachisee for Singapore (end of 2009). We have setup options for cafe only, cafe and roastery or roastery only.

At this stage we welcome enquiry from interested parties outside of Indonesia only. Please send us a cover letter and a copy of resume to alun@merdekacoffee.com We are quite fussy about choosing our partners in coffee, so pre-requisites of equal quantities of experience, passion and a willingness to work within a franchise system are all very important.

Sawah, or Paddy as they are more commonly called, are neatly parceled right up to the edge of the railway line.
